Tasmanian Honey Nougat (160g bar)
Our Honey Nougat is made handmade following a traditional recipe combining egg whites, sugar, glucose, Tasmanian honey and fruits and nuts, and has a soft texture.
Currently available as six seperate flavours:
Cranberry Nougat - a delightfully fresh nougat bar combining the zing of cranberries and the crunch of almonds and pistachios set in a fluffy vanilla nougat.
Hazelnut Nougat - especially delicious when savoured with a cup of espressso this nougat is hard to resist with its roasted hazelnuts cushioned in a soft chocolate nougat.
Pistachio Nougat - The green pistachio nuts and the crunchy almonds are set in a white soft nougat.
Macadamia Nougat - whole macadamia nuts set in a soft milk chocolate nougat.
Cappuccino Nougat - This nougat is soft and creamy with roasted almonds and the lively taste of traditional Italian coffee.
Strawberry Nougat - Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and other delicious summer surprises in a vanilla yoghurt nougat... YUM!

I purchased the cranberry nougat as I wanted a healthy treat from good quality Australian ingredients.I was not disappointed. I did a taste test only yesterday in a local well known tourist town in Victoria and there was no comparison to Melita Tasmanian Honey Nougat.I will certainly purchase more in the future for both myself and for gifts. The nougat is divine..

Made the mistake of opening the packet just after I received this and it was gone within a day! This is the best nougat I've tasted. Can't wait to try some more.

I was delighted to come upon this beautiful little place in an equally beautiful little town in Tasmania while we holidayed there. As a nougat aficionado, I was keen to try some good Aussie nougat. I must say I was not disappointed and was particularly thrilled it did not have the usual grainy texture of many nougats sold commercially today. Indeed it measured up to my high expectations of a chewy, smooth nougat and I loved the lemon oil in the one I had (Cranberry?)
